K-II EMF Meter In Action @ Local Haunt!

The K-II EMF Meter is one of the most  fantastic tools in the paranormal field. Having more than one K2 meter is even better because you can use each meter for a different response when trying to contact the spirit. You can use meter A as “Yes”, meter B as “No”, and meter C as “I don’t know”. We have a great low price on the K2 EMF Meter at www.ghosthuntersequipment.com and we also offer different combo deal on the meter. GOOD AND EVIL AND THE USE OF ENERGY By: Dr. Harry Staffford

Creating dichotomies splits reality where it cannot be split, and establishes conflict of energies where integration of energies is what is needed. Fragmentation happens, and it always creates problems. The problems, however, are not solved by codifying the fragmentation as a permanent condition.
“Evil” is not a cosmic force of permanent standing alongside an equally separate good. This literalizing creates a duality that blinds you to the nature of energy and its proper use. Consciousness, deriving from the Divine always, is good. When you do not understand its true nature, or become forgetful of its source, you fragment that which cannot be permanently, or finally fragmented.
If you believe in a reified, permanent evil you cannot understand the essential goodness of consciousness or energy. What we call the “shadow” side is the unintegrated aspect of your own consciousness. The shadow and its contents are not static, but shift as consciousness shifts. Acknowledging the shadow is not acknowledging Evil with a capital E. Instead, it is acknowledging your need to be aware of, and to integrate, split-off parts of the self that represent energy and insights you need for your own wholeness.
When the shadow goes unacknowledged and is reified as a separate and independent cosmic force, it creates problems for you, for you do not see what you need to see to achieve a necessary phase of wholeness in your evolving. For example, it is easy for you to condemn others who, operating out of ignorance, create disasters in your world. Many of you assume that terrorists, with the beheading of innocent hostages, embody acts of pure, unadulterated evil. What are the terrorists doing? They are using an ideology of good and evil to justify acts that are clearly barbaric. What you may not realize is that if you see the terrorists as agents of Evil with a capital E, you are taking a step in the same direction.
Need we remind you that your bombs in Iraq have killed and maimed numerous innocent people? Are these acts then “good” because they are aimed at annihilating “evil?” Your own unacknowledged shadow is just as dangerous as that of your “enemy,” in fact more so because it lurks behind you, intimately poised in the moment. Now we are talking about energy and its use, so the danger is quite real. Unacknowledged negative energy, especially when it is rationalized as good against a reified evil, can kill and maim. It can also make you sick, directly undermining your own wholeness.
Good and evil, light and dark, right and wrong, body and spirit, being and nonbeing – whenever such dualities are given cosmic status or are considered to be permanent conditions of being, you are asking for trouble. Whenever you label others – any others whatsoever – as Evil with a capital E, you are cultivating fragmentation, conflict, violence or the misuse of energy. Indeed, at such moments it is precisely the time to look at your own shadow, and see what is hiding there. It may be waiting to catch you in a moment of weakness, ready to wreak havoc with energy in need of recognition and integration.
What about the seeming evidence for “evil forces” such as dark spirits, demons, etc.?
My friends, read what we have taught you about the imagination and its use, and about your field nature. Do you wish to empower such forces, hypostatizing* them by your own beliefs? When you do so you project your own shadow outwards, joining energy links with others of similar beliefs, co-creating and energizing the very forces you fear and wish to defeat. To be blunt, not only are Christian, Muslim and Jewish fundamentalists unwittingly in league with each other, any of you are also in league with them whenever you knowingly or not, reify or hypostatize evil, granting it substantial, independent being. In each case the irony is tangible and potent, for such “Evil” exists only by reason of the individual or mass belief in it. The displaced shadow, whether of an individual, a tribe, or a nation, whether of traditional religion, cult or new age sect, is energetic and will affect the one or the many whose shadow it is.
What we are counseling is not an unrealistic denial of the many “evils” you experience and witness. On the contrary, we counsel a tough honesty and lucidness, a willingness to face squarely your own shadow, to see through artificial dualities to the actual use of energy that is obfuscated by such literalized beliefs. It is only by understanding the most basic terms of being, including the creative capacity of consciousness to shape energy in a given field, that you will truly evolve and begin to experience the peace and wholeness you all seek.
(*hypostatize: “to ascribe substantial or distinct existence to; to consider as real.”)

William Mumler Spirit Photographer or Hoax?

We at GhoSt Augustine like to discuss topics of all kinds to do with the spirit world.

William H. Mumler (1832–1884) was an American spirit photographer who worked in New York and Boston. His first spirit photograph was a self-portrait which developed to apparently show his deceased cousin. Mumler then left his job as a jeweller, instead opting to work as a full time photographer, taking advantage of the large number of people who had lost relatives in the American Civil War. Perhaps his two most famous works are the photograph of Mary Todd Lincoln with the ghost of her husband Abraham Lincoln, and his photo of Master Herrod, a medium, with three spirit guides.
After being accused of various activities, he was taken to court for fraud, with noted showman P. T. Barnum testifying against him. Though found not guilty, his career was over, and he died in poverty. Today, Mumler’s photos are considered to be fakes
Ghost of Abraham Lincoln
One of Mumler’s most famous photographs apparently shows Mary Todd Lincoln with the “ghost” of her husband, Abraham Lincoln.Paranormal researcher Melvyn Willin, in his book Ghosts Caught on Film, claims that the photo was taken around 1869, and that Mumler did not know that his sitter was Lincoln, instead believing her to be a ‘Mrs Tundall’. Willin goes on to say that Mumler did not discover who she was until after the photo was developed. The College of Psychic Studies, referencing notes belonging to William Stainton Moses (who has appeared in photographs by other spirit photographers), claim that the photo was taken in the early 1870s, Lincoln had assumed the name of ‘Mrs. Lindall’ and that Lincoln had to be encouraged by Mumler’s wife (a medium) to identify her husband on the photo.Though the image has been dismissed as being accidental double exposure,it has been widely circulated.

Other photographs by Mumler included pictures showing various spirits (including relatives, fiancés, actresses and spirit guides) with living sitters.Other well known sitters include Moses A. Dow (editor of The Waverley Magazine) whose photograph apparently showed the spirit of his assistant Mabel Warren, and Fannie Conant, a well known medium from Boston, apparently photographed with the ghost of her brother Chas.

My Investigation at The Myrtles Plantation

A good friend of mine Teeta Moss is the owner of the Myrtles Plantation in St. Francisville, LA. It is America’s most haunted bed and breakfast and is a great place to spend the night. It has it all, history and ghosts all in one spot.
The Myrtles was built in 1796 by General David Bradford and was called Laurel Grove. His daughter Sara married Judge Clark Woodruff and they managed the plantation after the General’s death in 1808 for her mother Elizabeth. Sara and Clark had 3 children: Cornelia Gale, James, and Mary Octavia.
One of the slaves owned by the Woodruffs was named Chloe. The Judge took a strong liking to her and forced her into being his mistress. One day Clark caught Chloe ease dropping and he had one of her ears cut off as punishment. From then on Chloe wore a turban to cover her scar. She was forced out of the house to live in the slave shacks again and she was not happy with that arrangement. So, on Sara’s birthday she decided to bake a cake and use the extract of oleander leaves. She thought she used just enough to make them sick, that way she would know what was wrong and could come to the rescue, nurse them back to health, and move back into the house. Well, her plan back fired! She had used too much oleander and it killed Sara, Cornelia, and James. The baby Mary Octavia had already been put to bed so she was ok, and the Judge wasn’t home. When the other slaves had found out what Chloe had done, they along with others went after Chloe and hung her then through her into the Mississippi River.
Stories go that since the mirror in the downstairs entryway was not covered after their deaths, the children’s spirits are trapped in the mirror. Also, it is said that Sara is still in the house as well keeping an eye on her home. I know for a fact that Chloe is still there because of more than one personal experience. Chloe and the children both have been captured in photos as well.
The night I did my investigation I stayed in Judge Woodruff’ Suite. I purposefully put the blankets at the end of the bed because I have heard several accounts of Chloe pulling the covers up over people on chilly nights. Three times in the night I woke up to the blankets up over my shoulders, and I do not sleep like that! Each time I woke up I thanked Chloe for covering me and immediately through the covers back down to the foot of the bed.
I had K2 EMF meters set up in the room and at one point one of the children was communicating with me through the meters. She seemed to have fun lighting them up, but only after the batteries in the camera died. As I was replacing the batteries she would start playing with the meters, then I would get the camera up and running again and the meters would stop lighting up.
Another ghost here at the Myrtles is William Winter. He is also a former owner and was shot in the front porch in 1871. He came in side and staggered up the steps and died in his wife Sara’s arms on the 17th step. At one point in the night I was woke up by someone heavily coming up the steps then suddenly stopping, then silence!
Unsolved Mysteries filmed at the Myrtles in 2001 or 2002 and has technical difficulties while trying to film. Spirits are known to drain batteries to gain energy.
It was a night I won’t forget and I can’t wait to go back. Thank you so much to Teeta and Ms. Hester for a wonderful stay at the Myrtles!!
